A PLACE for EVERY THING
EVERY THING IN ITS PLACE
WELL BEGUN IS HALF DONE
Meticulous primary sample management is a fundamental prerequisite for ensuring a smooth and error-free progression through all downstream processes. Every detail counts — that's why strict organization and automated rules are essential to avoid careless mistakes. An error at this early stage can lead to costly delays later on.
Samples with incorrect, unclear, questionable, or unusual test requests must be identified, flagged, and corrected at this point. If not addressed early, they can disrupt the process later, consuming time and increasing the risk of costly mistakes.
Primary samples requiring preanalytical treatment must be identified and separated — manually or automatically — for the same reasons. Sorting instead of immediately handling them prevents bottlenecks at the sample intake station and allows staff to focus on simple, repetitive tasks — or opens opportunities for automation.
This sorting or pre-sorting step also enables safer and more straightforward downstream routing of samples.
We also recommend — especially with high sample volumes or varying assay types — implementing a staged sorting strategy. This makes sorting steps easier to automate and reduces errors during manual sorting.
For periods of lower sample volumes (e.g., weekends or late shifts), sorting rules can be pre-configured in the system to ensure consistency and efficiency even during off-peak hours.
Pre-processing steps (such as aliquoting, diluting, resuspending, shredding, etc.) can be managed directly through Mobiolink’s process control modules. The printing of a unique barcode for each target tube is especially appreciated. When results are transferred to the LIS, the data from child tubes is reported under the original parent tube ID — ensuring seamless and automatic integration into the LIS.

Mobiolink – Smart Pre-Analytics in everyday Lab Work
→ Digitize SOPs – Automate processes
Transfer your standard operating procedures (SOPs) into Mobiolink and let the system guide you through every step.
Defined once – used efficiently every day.
→ Complete traceability with zero manual effort
Every pre-analytical step is automatically documented:
Who – What – When
Reagents are automatically linked to the correct batch.
Perfect for quality management, documentation, and full audit trails.
→ The PREPRUN dashboard shows everything at a glance:
Which samples are not yet assigned?
Which ones are currently in progress (“running”)?
Which samples are fully processed and validated?
→ Real-time transparency for everyone involved – from sample intake to result approval.

Drag & drop samples, controls andstandards from pre-analyical plates into measurements plates
Digitized pipetting instructions
Communication with instruments
Organizes the preparation of analytical phase
Mobiolink supports helps you master one of the most critical phases in laboratory workflows:
the precise and secure transition from pre-analytical preparation to analytical measurement.
During this step, prepared samples must be combined with controls, standards, and reagents in the correct sequence, correct volumes, and at the correct positions on the measurement plate.
This process is particularly complex in departments where multiple assays must be performed from a single eluate — such as in PCR workflows, where accuracy and consistency are non-negotiable.
Clear visual layouts of measurement plates with real-time display of sample positions and available wells
Optimized support for multi-channel pipetting – ideal positioning for faster, more ergonomic & sure workflows
Automated generation of pipetting instructions – for both staff and robotic systems
Direct export of sample positions to the analytical instruments
When results are imported from analyzers, Mobiolink ensures each result is automatically and accurately matched to its correct sample, even across complex multi-assay runs.
📌 Result: Less manual work, fewer errors, and a faster path from preparation to validated results – all with full traceability and automation.
